The Norwegian Railway Museum is located alongside Norway's largest lake, Lake Mjøsa, in the heart of Norway.
On 29 June 2003 their new main building with exciting indoor exhibitions was opened.
The museum is also an open-air museum with train stations, other railroad buildings, as well as railway tracks. You will find locomotives, carriages and other items of the rolling stock both outside and indoors in two large sheds.
The narrow gauge steam train ”Tertitt-toget” runs in the museum park in the period 25 May to 17 August. Not operating on 30 June and 1 July. They will have a passenger carrying live steam model train in service in July. Both included in the entrance fee. |
